About Tom de Jong

Tom de Jong is a real estate broker. He currently serves as the senior vice president at the national self-storage group of Colliers International, primarily working out of the company’s offices in Reno, Nevada, and San Francisco, California.

As a leading company in real estate management, Toronto-based Colliers has a team of over 14,000 professionals, helping developers, property owners and investors expand their businesses and increase investment returns. Its scope of practice includes real estate brokerage, investment services, project management, real estate valuation and advisory services, landlord and tenant representation, corporate finance and capital markets.

With expertise in the acquisition, development and disposition of industrial real estate, de Jong advises clients across the U.S. He has successfully completed real estate transactions worth over $450 million. He specializes in the development and management in self-storage properties, and has worked with some of the most well-known names in the U.S. self-storage market.

Prior to joining Colliers, de Jong served as a principal at Allstate, the insurance provider. He is also the founder of Cellular Accessory Warehouse, a California- and Nevada-based supplier of wireless phone accessories.

De Jong holds two bachelor’s degrees, one in finance and another in business administration, from California State University, East Bay. He also holds an MBA from Pepperdine Graziadio Business School. He is a member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors.
