Prior to pursuing a legal career, Singh served in the U.S. Army for five years. He led a platoon of more than 40 combat soldiers and was the recipient of several awards.
He graduated from the University of Maryland and later received a master’s degree in law from the University of San Francisco.
He speaks English, Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu.
