About Samuel Weiser

Samuel Weiser is a certified public accountant. He is founder and chief executive of JMP OppZone Services, based in Chicago, Illinois.

JMP is a dedicated fund services group. The company provides bespoke fund services for investors and project sponsors to support investments in Opportunity Zone businesses and projects. Its mission is to provide high net worth investors and project sponsors with customizable solutions to maximize the benefits of Opportunity Zone investments. It was founded in January 2019.

Weiser oversees the operations and growth of JMP’s financial and administrative platform for Opportunity Zone participants.

He has more than 30 years’ experience as a C-level executive in asset management, operational consulting, fund operations and management. He is experienced with fund structures, industry best practices and investor due diligence.

Weiser is also a founder of Foxdale Management LLC, a consulting firm that works in a broad range of areas related to asset and crisis management.

Weiser was previously chief executive and president of Premier Exhibitions Inc. He was tasked with returning the distressed company to a profitable one, and expanding it through acquisitions, securing equity and debt financing.

From 1994 to 1999, Weiser was a partner with Ernst & Young, where he structured and implemented the firm’s regulated investment advisor practice, advising high net worth clients on asset allocation and portfolio management.

Weisler has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Colby College and a master’s degree in accounting from George Washington University.
