Bryson leads Ballard Spahr's tax credits team. She focuses her practice on using federal and state tax credits to finance affordable housing, businesses in low-income communities, historic preservation, and solar energy. She also concentrates on using the Qualified Opportunity Zone (QOZ) program to finance community economic development throughout the U.S. In the QOZ portion of her practice, Molly advises investors, fund managers, and developers on the evolving tax, organizational, and business structuring requirements of the program.
Before joining the firm in 2014, Bryson was a partner at Nixon Peabody LLP, where she co-led the firm’s low-income housing tax credit team. She previously worked as a summer associate at Peabody & Brown.
Bryson is a graduate of The Catholic University of America, where she received a bachelor’s degree in English and philosophy, followed by a law degree from the university’s Columbus school of Law.
She is past chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association, and is an elected member of the American College of Tax Counsel.
