About Jessica Millett
Jessica Millett is a partner in the New York office of Hogan Lovells.
Millett has more than 16 years of experience in helping clients handle complex tax matters. With expertise in U.S. tax issues arising from real estate transactions, she advises clients to integrate tax discussions in the early stage of business negotiations. Millett is especially knowledgeable in investments in Opportunity Zones. She assists clients in structuring Qualified Opportunity Funds, joint ventures and REITs.
Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Millett was chair of the Tax Practice Group at Duval & Stachenfeld, a New-York based boutique law firm.
Millett holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations and affairs from Johns Hopkins University, and a juris doctor in international and comparative law from Duke University. She is a frequent speaker at Opportunity Zone-related conferences, and has been quoted by many major media outlets, including Bloomberg, Commercial Observer and The Wall Street Journal.
Millett serves as Chair of the Subcommittee for Foreign Investors of the ABA Tax Section Real Estate Committee. Previously, she was a member of the Duke Journal of Comparative and International Law.
