About Chris Moyer
Chris Moyer is a government official. He is currently the director of the Cecil County Office of Economic Development, based in Elkton, Maryland.
Cecil County, which is located between Philadelphia and Baltimore, utilizes the department to stimulate the county’s economic growth and job creation. Its goals include expanding business, attracting new business, advancing tourism and promoting agriculture. The county contains Opportunity Zones.
Moyer has been the Office of Economic Development’s director since December 2016. During his tenure, Cecil County has experienced growth with investments from Amazon, Medline and Northrup Grumman, leading to more than 2,000 jobs and $700 million of investment. Moyer is the former chief operating officer for CyberSpa LLC, a Baltimore-based security software firm, as well as the director of business development for the Baltimore Development Corporation, a nonprofit that serves as the economic development agency for the city of Baltimore.
Moyer has an MBA from Loyola University Maryland and a finance degree from the University of Maryland.
