OEDIT, Colorado
The Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) is an economic development agency dedicated to supporting 126 Opportunity Zones in the state of Colorado.
With the goal to attract private capital investment and benefit local residents and communities of Colorado, OEDIT provides technical and financial support to community-oriented projects. It educates investors, developers, entrepreneurs and community leaders to promote policies and incentives that could help revitalize the local economy and boost job creation.
OEDIT works as a platform for public-private cooperation. It monitors the economic climate in the state and provides prompt response and support to entrepreneurs and small business owners. By attracting diverse types of businesses, including tourism, aerospace, bioscience and alternative energy, OEDIT increases job quality, retains existing jobs and protects the diversity of the local business base.
In the space of Opportunity Zone, OEDIT builds liaisons with partners across the U.S. to encourage investment and development activities throughout rural areas of Colorado. OEDIT welcomes all types of Opportunity Zone projects that could benefit local communities and contribute to the advancement of the quality of life.
