Brandon Jones is a tax attorney and is a member of Winstead’s tax practice group in Texas, where he counsels clients on business transactions ranging from income and estate tax planning to general corporate matters.
Jones, who has more than 15 years of experience in tax planning and tax structuring, represents clients in a myriad of industries — energy, entertainment, healthcare, hospitality, insurance, retail and waste recycling — with their business partnerships, real estate investments and other business transactions.
Some of Jones’s notable work includes assisting hundreds of merger and acquisition transactions worth several billion dollars, assisting with the formation of a Qualified Opportunity Fund relating to Opportunity Zone investments, and helping a family-owned business minimize its federal tax liability with the sale of energy holdings valued at several billion dollars.
Jones is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Tarrant County Bar Association, the Dallas/Fort Worth chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth and the Fort Worth chapter of Financial Executives International. He was recognized as one of Tarrant County’s Top Attorneys, Fort Worth, Texas; a Power Attorney, Fort Worth Business Press; and a Texas Rising Star by Thomson Reuters.
Jones holds four college degrees. He received a Juris Doctor and MBA from Baylor University, and Master of Laws at New York University. He earned his bachelor’s degree at Texas A&M University.
