Hamlin is a corporate and securities attorney and provides general representation of both publicly and privately held companies. She provides securities counsel to public companies in every area of need, including: '34 Act reporting and compliance, offering, merger and acquisition and strategic partnership activity, and more. She also specializes in risk assessment and mitigation, equity and incentive compensation programs, stock exchange compliance, investor relations and shareholder communications, and more. For privately-held companies, Hamlin provides general legal representation. She also has extensive experience dealing with issues involving the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. Hamlin represents clients in various industries such as life sciences and medical device, technology consulting, information systems, consumer products, telecommunications, renewable energy, hospitality, and manufacturing.

Before joining Ballard Spahr in 2018, Hamlin was a partner at Lindquist & Vennum. She has also worked as an adjunct professor at the William Mitchell College of Law.

Hamlin is a graduate of the William Mitchell College of Law. She earlier received a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities.
