About Sean Tevel

Sean Tevel is a tax attorney at Holland & Knight LLP, an international law firm serving a global clientele with a team of more than 1,300 professionals at 25 offices across the U.S. and three international branches. Tevel works out of its Miami office.

Holland & Knight provides a full range of legal services to its clients from construction, education, real estate, hospitality, healthcare and life sciences, technology and telecommunications, insurance, financial services, transportation, infrastructure and other industries. Its team handles a wide spectrum legal matters, including corporate transactions, taxation, intellectual property, international business and trade, employment law, private wealth management, regulatory and government affairs, litigation and dispute resolution.

Tevel focuses his practice on private wealth management and tax planning. He advises high net worth individuals on income, gift and estate tax matters, cross-border investments, international company establishment and trust structuring. With extensive experience in corporate and partnership taxation, tax credits and tax treaties, Tevel assists clients to efficiently use various tax incentives and keep tax compliance.

Currently, Tevel also serves as an adjunct professor of taxation and cross-border investment courses at the University of Miami.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Tevel worked as a tax attorney at Baker & McKenzie, a Chicago-based international law firm.

Tevel obtained his bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from McGill University. He also holds a master’s of law in taxation and a Juris Doctor from the University of Miami.
